1.3M+ Organic Views on a Founder-Led Video Strategy for CardByte
Project Overview
CardByte is a SaaS startup transforming physical business cards into smart digital profiles. When they approached us, they had zero online visibility—no content, no subscribers, and no marketing team.
What they did have?
A visionary founder with strong opinions, real-world experience in sales & entrepreneurship—and the willingness to put himself on camera.
Infurage was brought on to build a content strategy from scratch, focused on YouTube-first growth that would drive brand awareness and app installs organically.
The Challenge
The initial content idea was a safe one:
“Let’s talk about sales and entrepreneurship on YouTube.”
But that space is a red ocean—crowded, generic, and nearly impossible to rank in or go viral from. Our challenge was to make the founder stand out without losing the core message of CardByte: smart networking and better business connections.

Our Creative Strategy
We pivoted the idea from a monologue into a format that’s native to today’s YouTube culture: a reaction video—but with context, authority, and insight.
Format: Founder Reacts to a Trending Influencer
We had the founder react to MBA Chai Wala, a viral entrepreneur with 1.6M+ subscribers known for polarizing opinions on business.
Why this worked:
- Trend-jacking with originality: Riding the viral wave of a trending creator without copying others.
- “Not a Roast” hook: Differentiated the video from existing roast content, while still tapping into the curiosity.
- Authority & Contrast: The contrast between the influencer’s flashy takes and our founder’s grounded wisdom created real, engaging tension.
- Founder-first storytelling: Instead of forcing brand mentions, we built credibility first—letting product plugs come naturally in future videos.
Outcome
- 1.3M+ views on the first-ever video from a brand-new channel
- 10K+ subscribers organically
- 25,000+ app downloads driven via video description links
- Influencer featured in the video commented, boosting reach
- Thousands of positive comments validating both the content and CardByte’s voice
From One-Off to Series
The success of the first video turned into a content series, with the next two videos hitting:
Each episode built deeper affinity with the audience, shifting from top-of-funnel engagement to middle-of-funnel trust—setting up future content for buyer-intent messaging.
What Made This Work
- Platform-native storytelling
- Bold creative direction
- Founder authenticity > forced brand push
